The Security Industry Association (SIA) established the SIA Women in Security Forum to support the participation of women in the security industry. Through programs, professional development and networking events, the committee will engage members, both men and women, who share this goal.

ADT Inc. announced the completed acquisition of Aronson Security Group, Inc. ADT’s recent acquisition shows the company’s commitment to new solutions, services, and enhanced experience for commercial and national accounts customers.

Convergint Technologies, announced the acquisition of Alphacorp. Alphacorp will expand Convergint’s geographic coverage. Alphacorp brings Convergint strong experience in sophisticated systems integration, within the healthcare vertical market.

Hikvision opens security industry’s first source code transparency center which will allow government agencies in the U.S. and Canada to review the source code for a wide selection of IP cameras and NVRs sold by the company.

WaveLynx Technologies announced a strategic partnership with Safetrust. The partnership will merge Safetrust’s mobile solution and identity management platform along with WaveLynx’s access control hardware solutions into a complete mobile security platform, according to the company.
