SIA New Member Profile: Algotive

New Security Industry Association (SIA) member Algotive creates and combines its own artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, Internet of Things devices and cloud orchestration services to develop enterprise autonomous AI and keep us and our property safe. The company is headquartered in Mexico City, Mexico.

SIA spoke with Pablo Castillón, CEO of Algotive, about the company, the security industry and working with SIA.

Tell us the story of your company.

Pablo Castillón: Headquartered in Mexico City and founded in 2019, Algotive has a vision to innovate the security industry through advanced technology solutions. Recognizing the growing need for enhanced surveillance capabilities, especially in an increasingly digital and interconnected world, our team of experts embarked on a journey to develop cutting-edge video analytics software powered by artificial intelligence. Our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in security technology led us to specialize in AI-driven solutions, enabling our clients to achieve unparalleled productivity with threat detection, monitoring and analysis levels.

What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?

PC: Algotive offers a wide range of solutions and services in the security sector. Our flagship product is vehicleDRX: a video analytics software with AI technology. Our software provides advanced threat detection, behavioral analysis and more, enabling customers to enhance their security and respond effectively to emerging threats. What sets Algotive apart is our relentless focus on innovation, continuous improvement and customer-centric approach. We are committed to staying at the forefront of security technology, delivering cutting-edge solutions that respond to the evolving needs of our customers and industry.

What’s something we might not know about your company – or something new you’re doing in security?

PC: One intriguing aspect of our company’s security measures involves the meticulous attention we pay to the nuances of the vehicles we track. Through our innovative software and ReID capabilities, we can discern intricate details about each vehicle. When a vehicle enters the view of a new camera, our system analyzes pixel by pixel, preventing any confusion with other cars. This level of precision ensures accurate tracking and enhances overall security protocols, setting us apart in the realm of vehicle surveillance and protection.

What is your company’s vision, and what are your goals for the security industry?

PC: Algotive’s vision is to become a global leader in AI-powered security solutions, drive innovation and set the industry’s highest standards of excellence. Our goals for the security industry are centered around leveraging technology to create safer and more secure environments for individuals, organizations and communities worldwide.

What do you think are the biggest opportunities in the security industry right now?

PC: The security industry is ripe with opportunities, particularly in integrating advanced technologies like AI into security solutions. These technologies enable more efficient threat detection and proactive risk management. Additionally, the increasing digitization of critical infrastructure drives a growing emphasis on cybersecurity. Companies can also capitalize on the demand for innovative security solutions in smart cities and buildings. By embracing these opportunities and leveraging emerging technologies, companies can drive positive change and position themselves for success in the evolving security landscape.

What are the biggest challenges facing your company and/or others in the security industry?

PC: One of the biggest challenges facing our company and others in the security industry is the ever-evolving nature of security threats. Staying ahead of emerging risks and adapting to new technologies requires constant innovation and investment. Maintaining data privacy and cybersecurity in an increasingly digital world also presents ongoing challenges. Moreover, the global nature of security threats necessitates collaboration and information sharing among industry stakeholders, which can be challenging to coordinate effectively.

What do you enjoy most about being at your company – and in the security industry?

PC: What we enjoy most about being at our company and in the security industry is the opportunity to make a tangible impact on safety and security. Working on innovative solutions that protect individuals, organizations, and communities is incredibly rewarding. Additionally, the dynamic nature of the security industry fosters continuous learning and growth, allowing us to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and contribute to shaping the future of security. The collaborative and mission-driven environment within our company and the broader security community makes our work incredibly fulfilling.

What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?

PC: By partnering with SIA, we aim to collaborate with industry leaders, contribute to developing industry standards and promote the adoption of innovative security solutions that benefit society.

How does your organization engage with SIA? What are your plans for involvement in the next year?

PC: Our organization engages with SIA through active participation in various events, committees, and access to member resources. In the past month, we have attended SIA’s signature event Expo Seguridad Mexico to stay updated on industry trends and forge valuable connections with industry peers.

Our plans for involvement with SIA next year include increased participation in committee activities to contribute to developing industry standards and best practices. We also plan to attend additional SIA events to expand our network and stay informed about emerging technologies and market trends. Furthermore, we will continue to leverage SIA’s member resources, such as research reports and training programs, further, to strengthen our expertise and offerings in the security industry. Our organization is committed to actively engaging with SIA to drive innovation and success within the security community.
