John Bilich

John Bilich

John Bilich currently serves as the Chief Security Officer for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. John is tasked with overseeing the Agency's critical security functions to provide the highest quality in public safety, facility security operations, security program management, emergency management, and airport rescue and firefighting training.

John's experience includes a 24-year career in the New York City Police Department (NYPD). His last position in the NYPD was as the Deputy Commissioner of Operations where he served as the agency's primary crime strategist and leader of the COMPSTAT program.

Upon his retirement, John joined the New York State Division of Criminal Justice as Deputy Commissioner for Public Safety. In that capacity, he managed Operation IMPACT program designed to reduce crime in the 17 counties that possessed 80 percent of non-New York City Crime.

John also served as Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance's Chief Investigator and as Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson's Chief Investigator.
