Security Industry Association Announces 2020 Board of Directors Nominations

SILVER SPRING, Md. – The Security Industry Association (SIA) Nominations Committee has recommended five individuals to serve as members of the SIA Board of Directors for 2020, pursuant to the SIA bylaws.

These nominations will be submitted for ratification at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership gathering during ISC West. The Advance 2020 will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in rooms 505 and 506 of the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Registration to The Advance is free and includes lunch following the meeting.

The 2020 Board of Directors nominees are:

• Jonathan Aguila, director – systems and technology, Facebook – Global Security
• Stacy Deveraux, president, Electromechanical Solutions Group, ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions
• Mike Mathes, executive vice president, Convergint Technologies
• Erica McBride-Rapp, logistics manager, Allegion
• Tim Palmquist, vice president, Americas, Milestone Systems

SIA members who are unable to attend The Advance or who wish to vote on the Board of Directors nominees before the event can use the proxy voting form to submit their votes.

At The Advance, in addition to voting on the 2020 Board of Directors nominations, attendees will hear a high-impact presentation from William Wilkins, executive director of global security operations at Valero Energy Corporation. Wilkins will share key insights from his career as a global security officer, explore the chief security officer framework and highlight the lessons in his security life that everyone can learn from. The Advance will also review official association business, recognize volunteer achievements and share market intelligence for the year ahead, and SIA will present the 2020 SIA Chairman’s Award, Member of the Year Award, Committee Chair of the Year Award and Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year Award.
