ISC West will occur as scheduled March 17-20, 2020. The show is not being canceled or postponed.

ISC West 2020 is around the corner, and with our SIA Education@ISC session, my co-presenter Tony Diodato of Cypress Integration Solutions and I are excited to have the opportunity to talk with all of you about The Promise of OSDP – New Implementation and Retrofits

The Security Industry Association’s (SIA’S) Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) access control communications standard has been around for many years, and we are just now getting to a stage where mass adoption is ready to take off.  OSDP provides the ability for:

  • Secure communication from reader to controller
  • New functionality and tools
  • Easier deployments
  • More streamlined management
  • More visibility to what is happening out at the edge

Implementation of OSDP in retrofit, and new installations requires some new skill sets and knowledge. We are hopeful that this session will break down those barriers and enable you to be prepared for OSDP now and in the future.
