What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings/company unique?

CK: Soloinsight’s software platform, CloudGate, manages both physical and logical identities, as well as credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, vendors and drivers. Our CloudGate solution unites global identities to provide a centralized physical and identity access management platform founded with compliance and continuous risk assessment in mind. Our technology grants users highly secure access to buildings, applications and content on any device at any time. We set ourselves apart with the modular nature of our CloudGate platform architecture and our proprietary workflow engine that simplifies complex processes so your team can work smarter, not harder.

What is something we might not know about your company – or something new you are doing in security?

CK: We’re very excited as we were recently named a SIA New Product Showcase award winner in the hosted solutions/managed services category for our CloudGate SmartSpace product! We also were named a top 50 building technology by BuiltWorlds.

What is your company’s vision, and what are your goals for the security industry?

CK: Our mission is to build trust and ensure security by protecting every identity, software and system across an organization and building portfolios. Soloinsight achieves this by providing a middleware platform which ties all systems’ data together, thereby creating actionable items and removing data silos.

What do you think are the biggest opportunities in the security industry right now?

CK: In the past, physical identity and access management and logical identity and access management were two separate endeavors. With recent hacking attacks, converging physical and logical identification in access control has become an existential necessity. There is now an opportunity to combine systems with one management access point. It is crucial to have a software platform that allows integrations into multiple systems and software to best manage an enterprise or class A multi-tenant building.

What are your predictions for the security industry in the short and long term?

CK: Our prediction is that the security industry will become a more open and unified place. The time for proprietary software is over. It will be important to adapt as one industry and share data among all areas of expertise. The new wave of innovation is relying on developers accessing open source code. In the short term, there’s a desire for open platforms to eliminate the need for rip and replace. And in the long term, we’ll need to create actionable data by bridging this with a PSIM.

What are the biggest challenges facing your company and/or others in the security industry?

CK: The biggest challenge is keeping up with expanding and emerging technology while not forgetting our core values and the traditional systems that have already been adopted. We have to bridge the old and the new while focusing on our own growth initiatives.

What do you enjoy most about being at your company – and in the security industry?

CK: Soloinsight’s culture is one of the most important aspects of the company. Our culture values teamwork, innovation, creativity, consistency, hard work, smart work and self motivation. We believe the highest calling our company can have is to serve the customer. Each of us wears this chip on our shoulder and cares deeply about figuring out and solving customer pain points. The goal of customer satisfaction is what drives the entire Soloinsight team every day.

What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?

CK: SIA offers us a community of like-minded companies and individuals who strive to innovate in the security field. As our company grows we will leverage SIA to expand our network, learn and evolve with the industry.

What does your organization engage with SIA? What are your plans for involvement in the next year?

CK: We recently joined SIA and are certainly glad we did. So far we were named a SIA New Product Showcase winner on June 17, we exhibited at ISC West 2021 and we are joining additional networking events. In the next year, we plan to take advantage of the multiple additional member resources  available.
