SIA member company Securicon, in partnership with D6 Research, commissioned the first installment in a three-part white paper series, Industry Fundamentals: Current State, Defects, Gaps and Journey. This white paper series provides a vendor-neutral viewpoint as to the state of cybersecurity resilience within the physical security industry, its practices, its range of attacks and recommended best practices. Part 1 provides a current-state overview and explores exploitation and impact, the prevalence and impact of proprietary systems, defining "good security," the journey ahead, vendors, channels, delivery and more.
