The challenge is growing: the American Hospital Association (AHA) estimates(opens in new tab) that workplace and community violence cost U.S. hospitals $18.27 billion in 2023, while hospitals continue to face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats that can disrupt clinical operations, compromise sensitive information and put patient safety at risk. The Federal Bureau of Investigation Cyber Division 2025 Annual Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) report(opens in new tab) showed that compared to all other critical infrastructure sectors, health care is the No. 1 sector targeted by ransomware.

This Vertical Insights symposium, presented by the Security Industry Association in partnership with the American Hospital Association, will bring together health care security professionals and technology leaders to examine how hospitals and health systems are building a more comprehensive approach to security across both the physical and digital environments.
