Brad Brekke, Vice President of Target, to Keynote Security 500 Conference in New York City

SILVER SPRING, MD — Brad Brekke, vice president of assets protection for Target Corp., Minneapolis, Minn., will keynote the Security 500 networking and management conference at the Sheraton Times Square Hotel in New York City on Nov. 5, 2013, the Security Industry Association (SIA) and Security magazine announced today.

As keynote speaker, Brekke will discuss “Breaking the Mold…Delivering Value-Added Security,” in which he will share insights into his team’s efforts to mitigate physical and operational risks across a large and renowned retail company. His department of several thousand assets protection professionals is responsible for protecting team members and guests, the global supply chain, financial products, information security and the company’s reputation. Brekke and his staff support all domestic and international Target locations.

Brekke joined target in 1997 as an investigations manager and received a promotion to his current position in 2001. Before joining Target, he practiced business law and litigation and served with the FBI. He received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota, his M.A.T.S. from Bethel Seminary and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
