On July 9, as part of a visit organized by the Security Industry Association (SIA), Rep. Lori Trahan (D-Mass.), freshman member of the House Committee on Education and Labor and and the House Committee on Armed Services, toured SIA member company Axis Communications’ Americas headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, to learn about the workforce and school safety issues impacting local communities.

Axis Communications is headquartered in Lund, Sweden, and maintains offices and operations across the United States. Some of the business’ major market areas include video surveillance solutions, access control solutions and audio solutions used by private- and public-sector agencies to enhance security.

During the visit, Rep. Trahan met with several Axis employees and constituents located in Massachusetts’ 3rd District.

Following a discussion on business and policy interests, including workforce development and school safety, Axis provided a tour of its Experience Center, which showcases several cutting-edge technologies used for security purposes.
