New Security Industry Association (SIA) member the Authorized Integrators Network (AiN) Group was built by and is made up of consumer electronics dealers serving the residential and commercial building industries, providing its members the leverage they need to command the best volume price points on some of the top product lines in the industry. The company is headquartered in Chesterfield, Michigan, and Tampa, Florida, with over 450 dealers and 500 locations across the United States.
SIA spoke with Melanie Panetta, executive director of the AiN Group, about the company, the security industry and working with SIA.
Tell us the story of your company.
Melanie Panetta: The AiN Group was founded by president and owner Stan Matysiak over 20 years ago in 2001. The idea for AiN Group was birthed from a premise of a missing niche Stan saw in the industry. He began his career over 38 years ago with Ademco and continued his security industry career onto First Alert, creating the First Alert Professional Dealer Program. AiN Group was formed to do all that program offered but on a national and more encompassing scale. AiN Group has grown to be the largest and most successful, one-of-a-kind, low voltage dealer network that consistently delivers results to its members by aligning the most successful security and low voltage residential and commercial installation companies in the country with top market positioned brands. AiN Group focuses on providing complete electronic low-voltage solutions for home builders, consumers and commercial spaces throughout the United States.
What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings/company unique?
MP: The AiN Group is unique as we are the only dealer network that does not charge a fee for membership; we offer a full-scale marketing department to serve our customer’s every need for high-profile customized advertising, and we host enriching networking events throughout the year for our members.
What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?
MP: This is our first year of membership in SIA, and we look forward to the information, insight and relationships that will develop as a result of being a member of this prestigious industry association.
