ISC East 2022 Concludes Successful Show in New York City

Announces overall attendance growth of 71% ahead of last year’s event

Norwalk, CT – December 5, 2022 – ISC East, in collaboration with premier sponsor the Security Industry Association (SIA) and in partnership with the ASIS NYC Chapter, successfully organized a three-day event (SIA Education@ISC: Nov 15-17 | Exhibit Hall: Nov 16-17) that welcomed over 200 exhibiting companies, featuring the newest innovations in access control, biometrics, detection controls/devices, IT & IoT security, smart home solutions, video surveillance and more.

For the second consecutive year, ISC East also co-located with NDEM Expo, granting attendees access to both events. After an eventful and inspiring three days, ISC East brought together nearly 5,000 security and public safety industry professionals and experienced 71% growth in verified attendees compared to 2021.

The SIA Education@ISC program at ISC East also celebrated record-setting growth, and for the first time ever, opened its doors one day prior to exhibits to offer industry professionals an additional day of learning. With 40+ hours of education offered, covering facial recognition, artificial intelligence, access control, unmanned security, IIoT and cybersecurity, SIA Education@ISC exceeded pre-pandemic 2019 conference numbers and experienced 303% growth in verified conferees.

In partnership with the ASIS NYC Chapter, ISC East once again proudly hosted the ASIS NYC Person of the Year Lunch, sponsored by Patriot One Technologies. Police Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell was the recipient of this prestigious award and John Miller, Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst of CNN, delivered a highly anticipated keynote address. Paul Benne, President of Sentinel Consulting, explained: “ISC East really is the premier event. It is where everybody comes to be connected to the security environment. With the incorporation of the ASIS NYC Chapter, it makes ISC East the only event to attend on mass scale for the security industry.”

The Bridge, ISC’s main stage destination, was unveiled at ISC West earlier this year and made its official debut at ISC East. This highly trafficked area, located on the show floor, was home to the ISC Keynote, Exhibitor Product & Training Case Study sessions and other featured education. The ISC Keynote: NFL Perspectives on Cybersecurity and Organizational Resilience, sponsored by Evolv Technology, took center stage and enjoyed a packed audience. Alicia Dawson, Lead Cybersecurity Engineer MITRE Corporation, sat down with Tomás Maldonado, CISCO at the NFL, and Ryan McKenzie, VP of Stadium Technology at MetLife Stadium, to help security professionals anticipate, mitigate, and respond to the risks and threats associated with today’s digital transformation and integrated technology systems used to support event operations.

All industry professionals were encouraged to attend special events at ISC East, such as the American Security Today’s 2022 ‘ASTORS’ Homeland Security Awards Luncheon, the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) Cornhole Tournament, Crack the Tap Networking Reception (sponsored by NAPCO), SIA Honors Night benefitting FAST, and the SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF) breakfast (sponsored by Axis Communications). There were also ample opportunities to give back while on-site at ISC East, including the Mission 500 Kit Care Pack Event (sponsored by Axis Communications) and the SIA WISF CAN DO Challenge, both of which supported the underserved and uplifted the local NYC neighborhood.
