Security Industry Association Appoints Kenia Caballero as Industry Affairs Manager
As a member of SIA’s global team and based in Mexico, Caballero will grow the association’s presence in the region and lead development of Expo Seguridad México programs.
SILVER SPRING, Md. – The Security Industry Association (SIA) has appointed Kenia Caballero to serve as its new industry affairs manager. Caballero, who is based in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, will expand SIA’s global team and work with the association to grow its presence in Mexico; serve as the primary point of contact on behalf of SIA for key programs and events; lead development of SIA’s Expo Seguridad México conference programs; oversee networking events both at the Expo Seguridad México show and in the Mexico region (including offerings related to the SIA RISE and Women in Security Forum communities); serve as the staff liaison for SIA’s International Relations Committee, an authoritative resource for SIA members and their partners in priority international security markets beginning with the security market in Mexico; and recruit Mexico-based companies to become members of the association. SIA is taking this step, beginning with Mexico, as part of its incremental international strategy.

Kenia Caballero comes to SIA with 15+ years of marketing and events experience in a variety of industries, including pharma, insurance, IT, security and life sciences. Prior to joining SIA, she served as global visibility manager at Danaher, focusing on growth, funnel management and customer engagement, worked as the marketing manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean at Axis Communications and launched and drove adoption of products and services for enterprise, government and open-source communities at Microsoft. Caballero Arias is a strong believer in the power of teamwork and inclusive environments. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Universidad Intercontinental in Mexico City.
