SIA New Member Profile: Antaira Technologies
New Security Industry Association (SIA) member Antaira Technologies is a developer and manufacturer of high-quality industrial networking and communication product solutions. The company is headquartered in Brea, California, with additional offices in Taiwan and Europe.
SIA spoke with Joe Cook, national sales manager – security and transportation vertical markets at Antaira Technologies, about the company, the security industry and working with SIA.
Tell us the story of your company.
Joe Cook: Antaira Technologies was founded by a group of people who saw the growth opportunity in the field of industrial networking back in the early 2000s.
They saw that there was a need for high-quality, ruggedized networking equipment in numerous vertical markets, including automation, transportation, security and government.
What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?
JC: Antaira Technologies offers one of the widest ranges of industrial-grade, temperature-hardened power over Ethernet (PoE) switches in the security market. We also offer ruggedized wireless devices and media converters.
What’s something we might not know about your company – or something new you’re doing in security?
JC: Antaira Technologies works directly with several camera and wireless product manufacturers to power 802.3 BT cameras up to 90 watt PoE per port and Passive PoE radios. Solutions have been made to power products using nonstandard PoE. Antaira manufactures PoE products that are able to be powered from as low as 9VDC input to power up to 60W BT PoE and 12VDC to power up to 90W BT PoE products for vehicle and solar applications.
In addition, Antaira launched a Network Management Suite (NMS) for remote monitoring and management of connected devices on a local network. Features of the Antaira NMS include user privilege settings, device list management, topology view with link and device statuses, alarms and notifications, as well as database backup and restore, configuration via Telnet/SSH and firmware upgrade capabilities within the platform.
What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?
JC: Through networking with member organizations and participating in SIA events, Antaira is growing brand recognition and market share in the security and government verticals.
How does your organization engage with SIA? What are your plans for involvement in the next year?
JC: Antaira is participating in ISC West, SIA GovSummit and ISC East in 2024.
