Christine Bergold: Back in 2004, a few friends from Port Washington came together with a shared vision: to start a security systems company that would provide innovative, personalized solutions for businesses and government organizations in New York City. With backgrounds in engineering, elevators and electrical systems, they had just the right mix of skills to make their idea a reality.

The team quickly made a name for themselves by going above and beyond with their tailored security solutions. They believed every client’s needs were unique, so they put in the effort to design and implement customized surveillance, access control, and alarm systems. By offering everything from system design and engineering to installation and ongoing maintenance, CSI Security & Electric Inc. built a solid reputation for providing high-quality, reliable security solutions.

We’re proud to say that CSI continues to thrive. We’re always staying on top of the latest technology trends, and we’re committed to offering unmatched customer service. Our operations, sales and engineering teams are made up of some of the best specialists in the security and electronics industry, so you can always count on us to execute every project with the highest level of precision.

What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?

CB: At CSI, we offer a wide range of security services and solutions, designed specifically for commercial and governmental clients across New York City. From system design and engineering to installation and ongoing maintenance, we handle everything – whether it’s surveillance cameras, access control systems or alarm monitoring.

What really sets us apart is our personalized approach. We understand that each client has unique needs, so we take the time to create customized solutions that go beyond the standard setup. Our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable security has earned us a great reputation with some of the city’s most high-profile organizations. With years of experience in security and electronics, our team ensures every project is done with the utmost precision, making CSI a true leader in the industry.

What is something we might not know about your company – or something new you are doing in security?

CB: One thing you might not know about us at CSI is that we’re always looking for new ways to push the envelope with security technology. While we’re known for designing and installing traditional surveillance and access control systems, we’ve also been early adopters of smart tech in our solutions. Recently, we’ve expanded to include artificial intelligence-powered analytics and cloud-based security systems, giving our clients the ability to monitor and manage their properties from anywhere in the world, in real time. It’s all about staying ahead of the curve and making sure our clients have the best tools available.

What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?

CB: For us, the most important benefit is gaining access to industry-leading standards and best practices. We’re eager to take advantage of the educational programs, training and certifications that SIA offers to help our team stay ahead of the curve and continue providing top-notch solutions.
