SIA In Memoriam: Nancy Lambert dormakaba

The Security Industry Association (SIA) mourns the recent loss of SIA member Nancy Lambert, who passed away peacefully at her home in Afton, Minnesota, on Jan. 21, 2025, with her family by her side.

Nancy Lambert was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and wife. She joined dormakaba in 2020 as senior vice president and general counsel for the Americas. Lambert was honored as a member of the 2024 class of SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF) Power 100, a recognition program presented by the SIA WISF community that celebrates women who model leadership, inspire others, and shape and transform the security industry.

“Nancy Lambert was an extraordinary leader, offering not only her expertise but her unwavering support as a mentor, friend and highly respected business partner. As a co-founder of the dormakaba Women’s Network and the executive sponsor, Nancy was deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace for all dormakaba employees. She will be greatly missed,” said Ben Brydges, executive vice president, dormakaba North America.

Lambert graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and from Loyola University New Orleans with a law degree specializing in intellectual property, and upon graduation she spent two years as a judicial law clerk for the Louisiana Supreme Court. Before dormakaba, her career included serving as a chemical engineer for the Dupont Corporation and as a patent attorney for 3M and Donaldson Corporation. Lambert loved to travel the world and had a passion for horses, which included showing, riding and rehabilitating thoroughbred racehorses. She was a strong mentor for young women and served on the Minnesota Council on Economic Education and as a board member of the children’s charity Wishes and More.

Nancy Lambert leaves behind a great legacy in our industry and will be dearly missed. Learn more in her official obituary here.
