Security Industry Association Welcomes New Leadership of SIA International Relations Committee

SIA Announcing New International Relations Committee Leaders Mariana Ramirez and Vanesa Cabral

Mariana Ramírez and Vanesa Cabral will lead the committee in internationally representing and advocating for SIA members in the security industry.

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named new leadership of the SIA International Relations Committee. Mariana Ramírez of Axis Communications has assumed the role of chair, with and Vanesa Cabral of Convergint now serving as vice chair.

In these roles, Ramírez and Cabral will oversee the International Relations Committee, which works to internationally represent and advocate for SIA members in the security industry. The committee serves as an authoritative resource for SIA members and their partners in priority international security markets, beginning with the security market in Latin America (LATAM), and as the oversight body charged with developing and executing SIA’s international outreach strategies and programming objectives designed to promote international cooperation and marketing opportunities between SIA members and various international security companies and security industry trade associations.

Mariana Ramírez is the regional marketing manager for Latin America at Axis Communications, where she is responsible for positioning the Axis brand as a leader in the video surveillance and security sectors across the region. Previously, Ramírez collaborated with CommScope, a global technology and telecommunications company, by implementing its marketing strategy for Mexico and Brazil. She has 16 years of experience in team leadership, technology, digital transformation and digital marketing and holds a degree in hotel management from Intercontinental University and an MBA from IPADE Business School. Ramírez is certified as a fintech, big data and business strategy specialist by Tecnologico de Monterrey and the Autonomous Technologic Institute of Mexico, certifications that place her among the experts in these fields.

Ramírez has been a member of the SIA International Relations Committee for the past year, contributing to initiatives focused on strengthening the security industry across the Latin American region. She is an AmbassadHER for the SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF) community and actively participates in industry events like SIAThere!, educational conversations and networking initiatives that help foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across the security community.

I am especially excited to take on this role alongside Vice Chair Vanessa Cabral, working together to help expand SIA’s presence, engagement and positive impact.”

Vanesa Cabral is a senior executive specialized in partnerships, business development and supply chain. She currently serves as LATAM director at Convergint, bringing a strategic mindset and extensive experience building initiatives across multicultural environments. With 19 years in the security industry, Cabral has developed and strengthened sustainable business relationships across Latin America, the United States and Europe, successfully navigating diverse markets and business dynamics. Her career is defined by a strong combination of long-term vision, results orientation and disciplined execution, consistently creating value in complex and highly competitive environments, and her leadership style focuses on opportunity generation, collaboration and measurable commercial impact.

Prior to serving as vice chair, Cabral has been actively engaged with the International Relations Committee, working alongside industry peers to support regional initiatives across Latin America; fostering collaboration among key stakeholders; contributing to the planning and selection of webinars and the organization of networking events, including SIA Education at ISC West, Expo Seguridad México and SIAThere!; participating in the launch of WISF LATAM to strengthen inclusion; advancing new talent through the RISE program and mentoring within the Mentorship Program; and promoting knowledge-sharing spaces to elevate industry standards, highlight the value of SIA membership and support its continued growth.
