Letter of Support for Texas Mobile Driver’s License Legislation

The Security Industry Association (SIA) expressed strong support for Texas’ HB 682, which creates a statewide mobile driver’s license pilot program.

In a letter to Texas Rep. James White, SIA highlighted its members’ vital role in providing guidance and subject matter expertise on cost-efficient and secure electronic driver’s license solutions and the need for users to be able to store their personal information securely, enhancing identity protections.
