SIA New Member Profile: Siklu Communication

The Security Industry Association (SIA) recently welcomed Siklu Communication Ltd., with US headquarters in Fort Lee, New Jersey, as a new SIA Member!

Siklu created the first mass-produced millimeter wave radio, and the company continues to innovate in millimeter wave wireless communications. We chatted with Alex Doorduyn, Siklu Director of Business Development, Security, and Surveillance, to learn more about himself and his company.

How did you get into the security industry?

I started working in the security industry in the United Kingdom in 1994, my first job after graduating from university.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Educating customers on new technologies and helping them use my solution to solve their problems.

What’s your company’s biggest challenge right now?

Educating the security market on millimeter wave wireless.

What trends does your company foresee for the security industry in the next year?

Increased integration of security into IT, providing Big Data for use with analytics engines for users to become smarter with the technology at their disposal.

What does your organization receive from membership in SIA? How do you plan to be active in the association in the near future?

Use it to help educate the industry on our technology!

Will your company participate in an upcoming event with SIA such as ISC West, New Product Showcase or Government Summit?

We will certainly be at ISC West!
