SIA Announces RISE Scholarship Winners

SIA Awards Scholarship Funds to 10 Rising Young Professionals with SIA RISE

Silver Spring, Md.—Ten young professionals employed at SIA member companies were awarded funds from a pool of $30,000 in scholarships, the Security Industry Association (SIA) announced today.

The 10 individuals successfully applied for the scholarships under the SIA RISE program, a networking group that fosters the careers of young professionals in the security industry. The inaugural SIA RISE scholarship provided these 10 SIA members with awards to support their professional development goals and to expand their professional knowledge in the areas of human resources, information technology, marketing/sales, project management, security engineering and risk management.

“I am inspired by the next generation professionals who applied for scholarships,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “They displayed their ambitions and creativity in applying for the SIA RISE Scholarship, and they are proven assets to their companies. SIA looks forward to continuing to support the careers of these winners and other young professionals in the security industry for many years to come.”
