“I am thrilled to be named the new Chairman of SIA RISE. The group has accomplished some wonderful things in its inaugural year, and I’m excited to lead its efforts going forward. SIA has had a tremendous impact on me and my career, and I’m looking forward to working with SIA RISE to make a difference in others!” McFall said.

“SIA RISE participants will help to drive our industry’s future growth. The RISE program is an essential resource to help young professionals to expand their horizons, meet their peers in the security industry and receive educational opportunities through our association,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “SIA greatly appreciates Brendan’s leadership of the SIA RISE networking group and his strong support for programming that enhances the careers of young professionals in the security industry.”

After graduating St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Brendan McFall “stumbled” into the security industry. His career began in 2014 as the Executive Assistant (EA) for Northland Controls CEO Pierre Trapanese. After a year of serving as Northland’s EA, he was promoted to a Project Manager.

While managing projects up and down the East Coast, McFall earned his Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification from SIA. Soon after, McFall began helping build Northland’s Professional Services Department as a Technical Project Manager. In 2017, McFall joined the SIA RISE Steering Committee as the Vice Chair of Social Media.
