University of Phoenix Awards Credits to Certified Security Project Managers

Security Industry Association (SIA)

We are proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Phoenix College of Security and Criminal Justice and the Security Industry Association (SIA).

We recognize the expertise so many of you have, and so those of you who have earned the SIA Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM®) credential will now receive 21 credit hours to apply toward a Bachelor of Science in Security Management from the University.

Security professionals holding CSPM certificates average a minimum of three years of hands-on project management experience. However, the majority of CSPM certificate holders in the United States do not have college degrees.

This partnership is good news for all members and an even better value for CSPMs. This opportunity is a more than $12,000 value and saves time in taking those credit hours. It can be used in conjunction with prior learning and experience credit, where applicable.

Please stay tuned. This is just the beginning, and we anticipate more good news to share with you at ISC West.

Meanwhile, for more information on this important partnership, please see our full press release, which was published during ISC East last month.
