Video: Chairman’s Message for 2018
The Security Industry Association (SIA) has released a new video featuring Chairman Scott Schafer and highlighting SIA’s value, work with members and top priorities going forward.
Schafer, who was ratified as SIA’s chairman during ISC West, is a principal at SMS Advisors, LLC, and a longtime member of SIA.
“SIA is about building a much stronger security industry,” said Schafer. “There’s a real value in what [our members] provide, and us providing the guidance at SIA really leverages so many things to make this world that we live in a much safer place.”
In the video, Schafer discusses key priorities for 2018–2020, including the newly established Women in Security Forum and the RISE program, which works to engage and gain visibility for young security professionals.
