Tell us the story of your company.

Yossi Eliav: As a community rabbi and leader, I saw firsthand the growing concern around safety – not only within houses of worship but across schools, community centers and other vulnerable spaces. There was a clear gap: many of these organizations simply couldn’t afford round-the-clock security, yet they were increasingly at risk. The rise in antisemitic incidents, attacks on community institutions and crime in general created an urgent need for a smarter, more accessible solution.

It became clear to me that traditional security approaches – either too expensive or too passive – weren’t meeting the moment. That’s what inspired me to create US Virtual Guard.

People sometimes think that live monitoring is old-fashioned, but we’ve built a system that makes it work effectively – especially in dense urban environments, where artificial intelligence (AI) alone often can’t detect potential threats early enough due to the noise and movement typical of city streets.

US Virtual Guard isn’t just another AI company – we’re redefining what modern security looks like by combining advanced technology with real, live human vigilance. Every camera we monitor is watched in real time by a trained professional, ensuring we’re not just detecting alerts – we’re actively preventing incidents as they unfold.

Drawing on my background in commercial real estate and community work, I developed a model that brings high-level security to organizations that need it most – not just by reacting to threats, but by preventing them before they happen.

Even though US Virtual Guard was originally founded to help secure houses of worship, schools and other community organizations, our services are quickly being recognized as a powerful option for many other industries as well. Today, we’re actively protecting millions of square feet across the country – including warehouses, commercial office buildings, residential complexes and retail properties.

What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?

YE: US Virtual Guard offers a wide range of services, including:

  • Live video monitoring
  • Remote gate and access control
  • Virtual concierge and intercom management
  • Voice-down intervention and emergency dispatch
  • Custom monitoring solutions for houses of worship, educational institutions and industrial properties

These services are tailored to either enhance existing on-site guard teams or provide a more cost-effective alternative in situations where traditional guarding is not feasible. Our approach helps improve coverage, reduce blind spots, and increase the overall level of security. In many cases, we work hand in hand with local guards to create a more complete and responsive security environment.

What truly sets us apart is the balance we strike between smart technology and human intelligence. While many security providers are shifting to AI-only platforms that monitor alerts, we monitor continuous live video streams – camera by camera – in real time. This allows our trained professionals to make fast, accurate assessments and respond to potential threats before they escalate.

We are the only company in the world operating at this scale with our proprietary software and centralized system that enables this level of continuous monitoring. Our technology was custom-built to support the type of environments we serve – high-risk, high-liability sites where reliability, precision, and real-time response are non-negotiable. No other system on the market is doing what we do, the way we do it.

What is something we might not know about your company – or something new you are doing in security?

YE: What most people don’t see is the incredible amount of effort, time and care that has gone into building a platform and infrastructure that is unmatched in its reliability and effectiveness. Because of the nature of the sites we protect – from community centers to large commercial properties – we had to build something exceptionally solid and trustworthy.

We’ve created a centralized monitoring operation unlike anything else out there, powered by real people, real-time feeds and proprietary software that enables a high level of coordination and accuracy. This isn’t just another tech startup – it’s a purpose-driven security company built from the ground up to meet the needs of the modern world. And thank God, it proves itself every day.

What is your company’s vision, and what are your goals for the security industry?

YE: Our vision is to make high-quality, proactive security accessible to every organization — from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. We believe this is the future of security.

Our goal is to be the leading name in virtual and remote guarding, by elevating security to a level that’s more responsive, more affordable, and more reliable than ever before.

Whether it’s a warehouse, a house of worship, a factory or a residential complex, we believe every property deserves effective protection – and we’re continuously improving the infrastructure to deliver it.

What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?

YE: SIA offers a powerful platform for companies like ours to engage with industry peers, stay ahead of trends and contribute to the evolution of modern security. We value the access to cutting-edge research, standards development and networking opportunities.

Our hope is to use our SIA membership to collaborate on the future of remote guarding, connect with industry leaders and bring attention to the effectiveness of the proactive security that we offer.

How does your organization engage with SIA? What are your plans for involvement in the next year?

YE: We’re looking forward to actively contributing to SIA working groups and committees, especially those focused on video monitoring, security technology, and infrastructure protection. We’re also planning to attend key events and conferences, where we hope to share insights and connect with partners who are as passionate as we are about building safer communities!
