Announcing New SIA Chair, Executive Committee and Board Members

SIA announced the 2026 Board and Executive Committee at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership meeting.

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) announced its new Board of Directors chair—Mike Mathes of Convergint—and presented two new members to the SIA Board of Directors at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership meeting, held March 24 during ISC West.

The SIA Executive Committee for 2026 includes:

  • Chair: Mike Mathes, executive vice president, Convergint
  • Immediate Past Chair: Scott Dunn, president, Dunn Strategic Advisory
  • Secretary: Dave Ilardi, senior vice president and president of the Americas, Allegion
  • Treasurer: John Nemerofsky, chief operating officer, SAGE Integration
  • At-Large Officer: Tara Dunning, vice president of converging technologies, global strategy and sales, Wesco

The new SIA Board of Directors members, who will serve an initial two-year term from 2026 to 2028, are:

  • John Maffey, president and CEO, M3T Corporation
  • James Marcella, director, industry associations, Axis Communications

Additionally, SIA confirmed six returning board members for the 2026–2028 term:

  • Alex Castaneda, corporate vice president, North America video security and access control, Motorola Solutions
  • Andrew Elvish, vice president of global marketing, Genetec
  • Brian Harrell, chief security officer, FirstEnergy
  • Björn Lidefelt, president and head, HID Global
  • Lee Odess, CEO, The Access Control Collective
  • Julaine Simmons, vice president of security and electronic systems, M.C. Dean

The Advance 2026 was held Tuesday, March 24, during ISC West. At this special membership meeting, attendees reviewed official association business; heard insights from new chair Mike Mathes about how complexity, technology and collaboration are reshaping the industry; met the SIA board nominees and participated in SIA elections; recognized volunteer achievements from the past year; honored the 2026 recipients of the SIA Member of the Year Award, Chair’s Award, Sandy Jones Volunteer of the Year Award, Committee Chair of the Year Award and Standards Service Award; and shared market intelligence for the year ahead.
