About the Veterans in Security Scholarship

The Security Industry Association (SIA) is proud to offer its first scholarships dedicated to advancing the education and careers of military veterans.

Funds from the SIA Veterans in Security Scholarship Program, presented by the SIA Veterans in Security community, can be used for a wide range of scholarly and vocational pursuits, including college degrees (associate’s, bachelor’s, and graduate), certificate programs, and professional learning and development. The course of study must be from an accredited (where applicable) and reputable institution or organization and must relate to security (e.g., physical security (including manufacturing and integration), cybersecurity, risk management, protective services and/or support the career development of a security professional. The money can also be applied to repayment of student loans that were used to fund programs that meet the conditions described above.
