1. How did your company get its start? How did it get involved in the security industry?

Premier Risk Solutions LLC (PRS) was founded in early 2014 by Michael Delamere, and in early 2015 became a woman-owned small business when Audrey Emmett assumed 51 percent ownership of PRS, with Michael retaining 49 percent.

The business came to be after Michael had a distinguished career in the private security sector, working with the Securitas Security Services USA group and its subsidiaries (Pinkerton, Burns and First Security Services). During his tenure with the organization, Michael spent several years embedded at EMC Corp. in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, and another year embedded with Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, Washington.

In between, Michael spent time overseeing business operations as a Branch Manager, Senior Branch Manager, Director of Operations and Regional Managing Director while headquartered out of four major metropolitan markets: Boston, New York City, San Francisco and Seattle. He managed hundreds of cases all over the globe for a myriad of Fortune 1000 companies and oversaw branches of a couple hundred security officers. It is with Michael’s time-tested experience and attention to customer service delivery to lead to the formation of PRS to provide end users with a vendor organization that has their best interests of quality and value in mind while being mindful of their brand reputation.

2. Who are the prominent executives at your company? If someone wanted to meet a key person at an industry networking event, who would that be?

This would be one of three members of the senior leadership team: Michael Delamere, Joe Zaccaria and Steve Ketter. You can read their bios on the Premier Risk Solutions website. The three of us handle day-to-day operations. We also have a few Advisory Board members at PRS that assist in this endeavor as well: Rich Mason, Richard Cinfio and Julia Siebert. You can read their bios on the website as well.

3. What’s your company’s biggest challenge right now?

Our biggest challenge right now is getting the message out to the right target audience on who we are and how we can help. We are in growth mode so we are seeking opportunities to showcase our talents and partnering with the right group of associations and clients to do so.

Our clients tend to be Fortune 500 companies that have grown tired of a cookie-cutter approach to their needs and enjoy a personal and customized approach. Companies that have been burned by others in the past find themselves reluctant to begin the process again with a new vendor. However, their internal resources are stretched and so we need to find ways to connect with them.

4. What trends does your company foresee for the security industry in the next year?

Over the course of the coming year, PRS expects that drones, artificial intelligence and virtual reality will continue to see rapid expansion and capabilities in the security tech sector.

Security is becoming more and more of a business unit that has attracted the attention of the Board of Directors and the C-suite. The Chief Security Officers and Global Security Directors need hard data in a format that is easily digestible for Board members and the C-suite. We can provide the subject matter experts and analysis to help build the business case, then manage the implementation and program roll-out.

5. What does your organization receive from membership in SIA? How do you plan to be active in the association in the near future?

PRS would welcome speaking engagement opportunities, networking and being introduced to SIA members, and generally having the opportunity to learn what other members of SIA have to offer as well.

6. Will your company participate in an upcoming event with SIA such as ISC West, New Product Showcase or Government Summit? If so, what aspect of the event appeals most to your company?

PRS has attended the ISC West event for the past three years and intends on attending the 2018 event as well in Las Vegas. We will also be attending the New York City for Securing New Ground on Oct. 26-27. These events present tremendous networking opportunities to the SIA key demographic for PRS, as well as some of our existing clients and industry colleagues.
