What’s New With CSPM

In 2020, SIA began the process of updating its Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification program. This highly respected certification program is the only credential that addresses the unique demands of a security project manager and can move your career forward and propel your business. SIA's education team, in partnership with Meazure Learning, assembled a team of subject matter experts to review, revise and validate the program’s exam specifications to accurately reflect the work performed and core competencies possessed by today’s security project managers. New examination forms will be implemented in the coming months.

In addition to certification program updates, SIA's education and certification team has initiated the development of a CSPM review course to help individuals prepare for the CSPM examination. The review course will align with the new exam specifications and provide participants with a “blueprint” of key concepts to assist in self-study and test preparation. The course is scheduled to launch this spring as a stand-alone one-day course and may also be included as a “capstone” add-on to other SIA Security Project Management training deliveries by request.

Ready to work towards achieving your learning and professional development goals in 2021? The CSPM certification program can help propel your career forward by demonstrating expertise and distinguishing your aptitude among other industry professionals. The certification is designed for security project managers, systems integrators, systems designers and engineers, security managers, security consultants and lead technicians and provides a common operating framework for managing security projects.
