SIA spoke with Aymen Azim, CEO of Technova Industries, about the company, the security industry and working with SIA.
Tell us the story of your company.
Aymen Azim: Technova Industries was founded on the principle of integrating cutting-edge technology with existing security systems. Our journey began in Paris, France, and Madison, Wisconsin, when our founders recognized a gap in the market for connecting outdated security systems with modern technology. This insight led to the creation of our flagship software as a service platform, DataStorm One, which enables clients to harness old hardware like security cameras and Internet of Things sensors by integrating them with new technology. This unique approach allows for enhanced security measures, operational insights and even marketing data without the need to replace existing infrastructures.
What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings or your company unique?
AA: Technova offers a distinctive solution through DataStorm One, which connects any security system to deliver insights previously unattainable without system replacement. Our service stands out by utilizing generative artificial intelligence and machine learning to analyze data from both public and private sources, reducing time for data analysis and predictive insights from years to months. This makes our offerings unique as we empower clients to optimize existing assets while significantly enhancing their data utilization and security capabilities.
What’s something we might not know about your company – or something new you’re doing in security?
AA: A lesser-known aspect of Technova is our capability to integrate marketing and consumer insights into the security data analysis. This dual approach not only improves security but also enhances business intelligence, providing our clients with a competitive edge in their respective markets. Currently, we are exploring the use of quantum computing to further reduce data processing times and enhance security protocols.
What is your company’s vision, and what are your goals for the security industry?
AA: Technova’s vision is to revolutionize the global security industry by making advanced analytics accessible without the need for extensive hardware updates. Our goal is to become a leader in seamless integration technology, helping businesses leverage their existing investments to achieve unprecedented security and operational efficiency.
What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?
AA: SIA’s resources and networking opportunities are invaluable to Technova. As the winner of the Best Convergence and Integration Solution at the 2024 SIA New Products and Solutions Awards at ISC West, we have already seen the valuable benefits of being a member of this community. We aim to leverage these benefits to gain industry insights, stay ahead of security trends and connect with potential partners and clients.
Our hope is to actively participate in SIA’s events and utilize member resources to foster growth and innovation within our company and the broader industry.
How does your organization engage with SIA? What are your plans for involvement in the next year?
AA: In the coming year, Technova plans to engage deeply with SIA by participating in key industry events, contributing to seminars and workshops and utilizing SIA’s extensive library of research and best practices to inform our development strategies. We are also interested in collaborating with other members to explore new technologies and business opportunities in the security sector.
