- Time is running out to submit a nomination for the 2025 SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF) Power 100 program! Each year, this initiative showcases 100 women who are role models, leaders, innovators and influencers in the global security. Submit your nominations by Jan. 31!
- Just released: the new and improved Security Cornerstones learning series is here! Designed to help deliver knowledge to new employees on core security industry business practices and security technology areas, Cornerstones now includes additional learning modules, a redesigned training experience and new Spanish-language versions.
- The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) has announced the 2025 National Security Technician Day. The day, held annually on Jan. 23, is dedicated to recognizing the valuable work security technicians do to secure our nation.
- Following recent incidents, the U.S. House of Representatives is examining counterdrone protections. In this new blog, SIA’s Lauren Bresette shares top security industry takeaways from the House Homeland Security Committee hearing “Safeguarding the Homeland From Unmanned Aerial Systems.”
- New Center of Excellence article from SIA’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Advisory Board! SIA ESG Advisory Board Chair Renee Thompson highlights key regulations regarding environmental and sustainability products, their jurisdictions, applicability, scope and thresholds and shares guidance for compliance and adaptation.
