Foundation for Advancing Security Talent Welcomes John Nemerofsky as FAST Board of Directors Chair

John Nemerofsky, chief operating officer at SAGE Integration, will lead the expert group of security and life safety professionals in guiding FAST’s efforts to promote careers in the physical security technology industry.
DALLAS, Texas – The Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) has named John Nemerofsky of SAGE Integration as chair of the FAST Board of Directors. Nemerofsky will lead the board of directors drawn from the membership of the Security Industry Association (SIA) and the Electronic Security Association (ESA) in developing and refining FAST’s strategic plan and identifying the foundation’s annual goals.
With a remarkable career spanning over 25 years, John Nemerofsky has dedicated his career to advancing the innovation and integration of security technology – protecting the people, facilities and reputations of enterprise clients nationwide. In 2019, he assumed the role of chief operating officer at SAGE Integration, a national security integration provider operating across 62 major U.S. metro areas and boasting a team of over 19,000 installer partner specialists. Under Nemerofsky’s strategic guidance, the company has become a formidable force in the security industry. During his tenure at Niscayah – now Stanley Security Systems – Nemerofsky was instrumental in the organization’s growth to over $1 billion in revenue. Beyond his role at SAGE, Nemerofsky is deeply engaged in the security industry on multiple fronts, including his active involvement in FAST and service on SIA’s Board of Directors and as chair of the SIA Member Engagement and Experience Committee. Nemerofsky also sits on the boards of PSA and Security Sales & Integration Magazine and is chairperson of the SecurityXchange and contributes quarterly columns to Security Business Magazine, sharing his expertise for the betterment of the industry.
“I’m truly honored to step into the role of chair for the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent,” said Nemerofsky. “FAST plays a critical role in addressing one of our industry’s greatest challenges: attracting, development and retaining skilled professionals who are the backbone of everything we do.”
Nemerofsky assumes the role of FAST chair from Kerri Sutherland, manager of human resources business partnerships at Axis Communications, who will remain on the FAST board and oversee the foundation’s Security Technician of the Year Awards.
“John Nemerofsky is an inspiring and accomplished leader in our industry, and we congratulate him on the well-deserved honor of leading the FAST Board of Directors. Over the course of his career, John has been a driving force for innovation and success and has demonstrated a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation of security professionals, and his talent, expertise and dedication will be immensely beneficial to FAST’s work to foster the next generation of security industry leaders,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “We thank outgoing FAST board chair Kerri Sutherland for her exceptional leadership on the board and on key FAST initiatives like the Security Industry Compensation Study, FAST’s partnership on the development of the Security Industry Careers Guide, initial development of FAST’s fundraising programs at SIA Honors Night and the Security Technician of the Year Awards.”
