Build Your Professional Brand: SIA’s Speaking Opportunities

Looking to grow as a security leader and showcase your expertise? You can build your brand and thought leadership posture through speaking at an industry event. The Security Industry Association (SIA) offers a variety of speaking opportunities—here are some of the main events and programs that seek speakers each year:

  • SIA GovSummit—the government security conference hosted annually by SIA in Washington, D.C.—brings together government security leaders with private industry technologists for top-quality information sharing and education on security topics affecting federal, state and local agencies. Sessions focus on key topics in contracting and procurement, infrastructure and facility protection, how security product standards help meet government needs and the latest policies, practices and trends impacting security.   • Security LeadHER—hosted by SIA and ASIS International—is a special event dedicated to advancing, connecting and empowering women in the security profession. Born of a need to effect change and create a more enriching and inclusive security community, Security LeadHER offers engaging, informative and motivational sessions on topics such as career growth strategies, becoming a leader, negotiation tactics, work-life balance, dealing with bias and recruiting next-gen women leaders.   • Perimeter PREVENT—the premier perimeter security event—examines the critical issues related to perimeter defense for physical environments, including government and commercial facilities, critical infrastructure, events and more. This daylong event gathers policymakers, federal agency personnel, architects, engineers, security solution providers and more.   • AcceleRISE—hosted by the SIA RISE community—is an event for young professionals and those new to the security industry that helps rising stars take their careers to the next level, make valuable connections and have fun. This unique conference has fresh, engaging sessions covering topics like how to foster inclusive communities, decentralized ID in the security industry, optimizing customer experiences, sustainability and adaptive leadership, transitioning to leadership and more.   • As the premier sponsor of the ISC Security Events, SIA partners with RX to present the SIA Education@ISC conference program at ISC West (the leading comprehensive and converged security trade event in the United States ) and ISC East (the top security industry conference and exposition in the Northeast). Both ISC East and ISC West offer specialized education tracks for physical, IT and Internet of Things security integrators, dealers and end-user decision makers from various vertical markets. All sessions are strictly commercial-free and offer countless insights into today’s security market. Proposals for ISC East and ISC West typically open in May, with ISC East taking place in November and ISC West taking place in March or April each year.   • Expo Seguridad México, from RX (operator of the ISC Security Events), is the largest event for the security industry in Latin America, and SIA is proud to be the premier sponsor of this fast-growing security expo. Each year, SIA and RX invite industry leaders and SIA members to gain professional recognition by taking the stage and speaking at the industry’s top Latin American conference and exhibition.
