Security Industry Association Announces 2026 Board of Directors Nominations

SIA 2026 Board of Directors Nominees

SILVER SPRING, Md.— The Security Industry Association (SIA) Nominations Committee has recommended individuals to serve as members of the 2026–2028 SIA Board of Directors, pursuant to the SIA bylaws.

These nominations will be submitted for ratification at The Advance, SIA’s annual membership gathering during ISC West.

The following individuals have been nominated for an initial two-year term starting in 2026:

  • John Maffey, president and CEO, M3T Corporation
  • James Marcella, director, industry associations, Axis Communications

Additionally, the SIA Nominations Committee has nominated six returning board members for the 2026–2028 term:

  • Alex Castaneda, corporate vice president, North America video security and access control, Motorola Solutions
  • Andrew Elvish, vice president of global marketing, Genetec
  • Brian Harrell, vice president and chief security officer, Avangrid
  • Björn Lidefelt, president and head, HID Global
  • Lee Odess, CEO, The Access Control Collective
  • Julaine Simmons, vice president of security and electronic systems, M.C. Dean

The Advance 2026 will be held on Tuesday, March 24, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Venetian Expo, Venetian Room 401/402, during ISC West 2026. Registration for The Advance is free and includes lunch following the meeting. SIA members can register here.

In response to its formal Call for Nominations issued to SIA members last fall, the Nominations Committee received a significant number of impressive applications for consideration, and the committee carefully reviewed each application. SIA members who are unable to attend The Advance or who wish to vote on the Board of Directors nominees before the event can use the proxy voting form to submit their votes.
