Opposition Letter to Wisconsin Law on Classroom Barricade Devices

SIA letter of opposition to Wisconsin AB 44

In an Aug. 21, 2019, letter to Wisconsin Rep. John Spiros, chair of the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety, SIA explored three critical reasons for which most school safety organizations and K-12 security experts oppose the use of “barricade devices,” also known as “door blockers” or “secondary locking devices.”
