TIME MENTORS

Talent Inclusion Mentorship Education (TIME), presented by SIA's RISE community, is designed to help participants learn, grow and propel their careers. TIME is open to anyone (no membership required).

Here are the approved mentors for the 2024 cohort of the TIME program.

When I am not doing great things at Meta, I enjoy backpacking,

woodcraft, and volunteering at my church. I find that backpacking is the perfect combination of deep reflection, expressing gratitude, and pushing my body to the limit. I love when I finally summit a peak, or finish a long day and can feel the reward of hard work in my body. I can reflect on my accomplishment and celebrate it while surrounded by creation. I like to build cigar humidors and other small pieces of furniture. I find it mentally refreshing to focus my mind on one thing, a single cut, an intricate carving, or the perfect shine when finishing. It is a needed change of pace from that fast paced world of corporate security. At church I lead a men's Bible study. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back. There is nothing more rewarding than joining another man on his spiritual journey. For many, this is the most important part of their life and it is a privilege to share in the journey and practice servant leadership.

I am a part of the Milwaukee Women's Fund and provide my time to DJ events, as well as working with multiple local and national anti-racist groups. I also tend to decompress with some video gaming, working on music and DJ mixes, motorcycle modification and riding, and work on my home and yard.

At this stage in my life, my children's hobbies are now my hobbies.

I really enjoy watching them grow and develop in their sports and clubs. Soccer and lacrosse are the sports of choice for playing, but all three of my children love watching football. I still like to play golf and like it best when my kids can join me. I also like outdoor cooking and trying new recipes. It’s a fun way for me to entertain friends and family.

During the summer months, you can often find me embracing the great outdoors, whether it's swimming in my pool or at a lake, biking along scenic trails, or exploring hiking trails. I have a passion for sports like golf, soccer, basketball, and frisbee, and enjoy engaging in friendly competition. As the seasons change, so do my interests. During the fall and spring, I channel my energy into playing ball hockey and football, immersing myself in the thrill of team sports. Even as the weather cools down, I continue to stay active by taking long walks and enjoying the crisp air. When winter arrives, I find solace in the pages of a good book, indulging in the joy of reading indoors. A significant portion of my time outside of work is dedicated to my family—my wife and our young children aged 4 and 6. Family outings, youth sports or just playing at home brings me a lot of joy. Juggling work and personal life? It's pretty much like being part of a family sports team.
