25 on the RISE Awards

25 on the RISE: Celebrating the Security Industry's Brightest Young Talent

The 25 on the RISE Awards honor 25 emerging security professionals who are making an impact through innovation, leadership, growth, culture, branding and frontline excellence. Awardees are recognized for advancing their organizations, communities and the security industry.

The Basics:

  • Recognizes 25 new and emerging security annually
  • Awardees receive funding to attend Securing New Ground and are recognized at the conference
  • Open to professionals who are under 40 or those with fewer than two years in the industry

Denis R. Hébert Identity Management Scholarship

SIA created the Denis R. Hébert Identity Management Scholarship program to help further young professional SIA members' education in the field of identity management.

The Basics:

  • $5,000 scholarships toward professional development or education programs related to identity management
  • Open to young professionals who are current employees of SIA member companies

James Rothstein Business Scholarship

The James Rothstein Business Scholarship is designed to support emerging professionals and students in the security industry by providing financial assistance to attend the Securing New Ground (SNG) conference. This competitive scholarship program covers SNG conference passes and travel expenses, enabling recipients to gain invaluable business insights, network with industry leaders and enhance their professional development.

The Basics:

  • Scholarships for awardees to use toward event passes and travel expenses to the annual SNG conference in New York City
  • Each applicant must be either 1) a SIA student member or 2) a member of the SIA RISE community and an employee of a SIA member company

Paul Ahern Scholarship

Paul-Ahern

This initiative, named for Paul Ahern, the late former president of Cypress Integration Solutions, awards scholarships to SIA members to use toward attending SIA OSDP Boot Camp or accessing other professional development to grow their knowledge of effective implementation of SIA Open Supervised Device Protocol.

The Basics:

  • Scholarships for awardees to use toward attending SIA OSDP Boot Camp or accessing other professional development to grow their knowledge of effective implementation of SIA OSDP
  • Open to current employees of SIA member companies who have successfully completed the OSDP Verfied program or are responsible for the implementation of access control systems

SIA–SecuritySpecifiers Young Consultants Scholarship

Presented by SIA and SecuritySpecifiers and with the direct financial support of key donors, we are proud to present this scholarship program for rising security consultants, designers and specifiers to attend CONSULT.

The Basics:

  • Multiple scholarships providing a full ticket to CONSULT, plus access to meals and events in the symposium program, mentorship-focused meetings and more
  • Open to applicants ages 35 or younger who are engaged in security design or consulting full time at security consulting or A&E firms

WOMEN IN SECURITY FORUM SCHOLARSHIP

SIA created the Women in Security Forum Scholarship to further opportunities for SIA members, support their professional development and educational goals and help them thrive in the industry.

The Basics:

  • Multiple $7,500 scholarships to use toward registration for industry education or certification programs, conferences or webinars; tuition for accredited education programs related to the security industry; and/or repayment of student loan debt
  • Open to SIA student members and members of SIA's Women in Security Forum who are employees of SIA member companies

NavigateHER Grant SCHOLARSHIP

SIA is pleased to offer competitive grants for Women in Security Forum (WISF) members who are current employees of SIA member companies or student members.

The Basics:

  • Covers registration and associated travel costs to the Security LeadHER conference.
  • Open to WISF community members who are employees of SIA member companies and to SIA student members.
