About the Event
Join us at ISC East for a brand-new event hosted by the Security Industry Association (SIA) Startups in Security community. This first-ever program will gather innovative startups, scale-ups and industry leaders shaping the future of security technology.
You'll hear from key industry founders, investors and visionaries about their startup stories, go-to-market strategies, funding, hiring and more. Then, you'll be invited to network and enjoy lunch with security industry leaders and ISC East attendees.
Finally, we'll close the program with the opportunity to participate in strategy reviews with our Advisory Council. Participants will have the chance to give 15-minute presentations about their companies and receive candid feedback from experienced leaders in our industry about how to best grow their companies and succeed. To participate in the pitch review portion, you must be a SIA Startups in Security member.
This event is free to attend, and breakfast and lunch are included. Space is limited; register today to secure your spot!
Agenda and Schedule at a Glance (All Times EST)
8:00–8:30 a.m.: Check-In, Breakfast and Networking
Breakfast will remain available until 9:00 a.m.
8:30–9:00 a.m.: Startup Stories
Successful startup founders will share how they did it, what they faced, lessons learned and more.
9:00–9:45 a.m.: Go-to-Market Strategies
Explore various go-to-market strategies for success in the security industry. Should you use the channel? Distribution? Go direct? You'll hear about the pros and cons of each approach and what has worked and not worked for real companies who were once in the same place as you.
9:45–10:20 a.m.: Funding Your Vision
A panel of investors of various types (like early, angel, institutional and private equity) will share insights on preparing your business for investment and offer real takes on how acceptance of certain types of funding will likely change how you operate.
10:20–11:00 a.m.: Building Your Dream Team
You have a great idea or a great technology, but it's the people who surround you who can make you go from zero to hero. Who do you need on your team to accelerate your vision?
11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Strategy Reviews With Advisory Council
Present your startup and strategy to a small panel of seasoned industry leaders who will candidly share feedback! Presentations will be about 10 to 15 minutes per company.
12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m.: Lunch Served as Part of SIA's Critical Infrastructure Luncheon
Enjoy lunch and networking while hearing insights from experts, solution providers and thought leaders who are working on the front lines of critical infrastructure protection. SIA's 2025 Protecting Utilities Lunch at ISC East will feature insights from special guest experts on the risks that utilities must mitigate and the standards they must meet.
1:00–2:00 p.m.: Strategy Reviews With Advisory Council
