SIA New Member Profile: Imageonix Technologies LLC

Security Industry Association (SIA)

The Security Industry Association (SIA) extends a warm welcome to Imageonix Technologies LLC, a distribution firm focused on critical infrastructure protection, as a new SIA Member! We chatted with Mike Broggie, CEO, Imageonix Technologies LLC about how SIA is helping his company with “a roadmap to the security industry” as Imageonix Technologies creates awareness among integrators. For more information on the company, visit www.imageonix.com.

How did you get into the security industry?

In 2016, I was retained by a private equity group in Europe to explore acquiring a U.S. distribution firm to serve as a business development platform for E.U.-based tech companies. After some analysis, it became clear starting a new company made the most sense and a plan was drafted that became Imageonix.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Having built and sold a few service and technology firms, I enjoy establishing and nurturing successful partnerships designed so everybody wins. Second, but of equal importance, is creating a culture of mutual respect and integrity. It’s not rocket science, but it is amazing how empowering a solid foundation of shared values can be for teams tasked with rapid growth.

What’s your company’s biggest challenge right now?

At this writing, we’re at a very early (pre-launch) stage, so our initial challenge is creating awareness among top integrators. Our early conversations have gone exceptionally well.

What trends does your company foresee for the security industry in the next year?

Our initial research indicates a move toward fully-integrated solutions configured for specific use-cases. We’ll see how that data pans out as we pursue and close on some business opportunities with our early integrator partners.

What does your organization receive from membership in SIA? How do you plan to be active in the association in the near future?

SIA has been very helpful as a roadmap for the industry. My technical background is primarily in media production and streaming technology so it’s been essential to have an association partner help us understand the landscape and machinations of the market. We plan to further activate our membership by exploring the working committees for potential contribution.

Will your company participate in an upcoming event with SIA such as ISC West, New Product Showcase or SIA GovSummit? If so, what aspect of the event appeals most to your company?

We attended ISC West and are attending SIA GovSummit. We have plans for showcasing our portfolio companies at future events as we execute on marketing plans in the coming year. Events are important for us to network, conduct research and of course establish a brand presence for the company.
