New Member Profile: PetroCloud
New Security Industry Association (SIA) member PetroCloud is a technology leader of cloud-based solutions providing automation, monitoring and security to the energy and critical infrastructure industries. PetroCloud is headquartered in Irving, Texas, with offices in Midland, Texas, and Bakersfield, California.
SIA spoke with Clay Hendon, director of business development at PetroCloud, about the company, the security industry and working with SIA.
SIA: Tell us the story of your company.
Clay Hendon: Founded in 2012, PetroCloud created an advanced industrial Internet of Things platform specifically designed to meet the requirements of the most critical and remote environments on earth. By partnering with customers to develop unique solutions where none previously existed, PetroCloud earned the trust of operators, utility managers and security personnel, monitoring thousands of nodes throughout the United States.
What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings/company unique?
CH: PetroCloud provides custom-engineered surveillance and security solutions for companies operating in remote and/or off-grid locations. Our solutions include video surveillance, remote gate and access control, radar surveillance and automation. We offer a mix of permanent installations, rapid deployment (skid or trailer) systems and covert solutions. Our proprietary PetroCloud Automation Platform gives users a single-pane view of what’s happening across their sites, enabling them to monitor and control assets in real time.
What’s something we might not know about your company – or something new you’re doing in security?
CH: Our PetroCloud Automation Platform is a proprietary application that can be used with our products and with a customer’s existing hardware and infrastructure. We specialize in rapid-deployment solutions that provide customers with an immediate, long-term solution to their security challenges.
SIA: What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership?
CH: SIA membership gives us the opportunity to connect with other professionals in the security industry and gives us exposure to users to which we wouldn’t otherwise be visible. We are committed to providing innovative solutions in the security space, and membership in SIA demonstrates that commitment through its resources for education, industry advancement and more.
