Following the announcement that ISC West 2020 – originally scheduled for March 17-20 – will now occur in July, the Security Industry Association (SIA) will reschedule its events at ISC West to align with the new trade show time frame in July. ISC West and its organizers, Reed Exhibitions, made the decision to postpone the 2020 show in light of its close monitoring of ongoing developments with the COVID-19 coronavirus, reports from public health officials and extensive consultation with its partners in the global security community.
SIA’s annual membership gathering, The Advance, will now take place as a virtual meeting on Tuesday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m. EDT. Register for the virtual event to review SIA official association business, recognize volunteer achievements for the past year and exchange market intelligence for the year ahead.
SIA will postpone its other events at ISC West to align with the July trade show schedule. SIA’s ISC West events include SIA InteropFest & Cocktail Reception, which showcases interoperability among physical security solutions leveraging SIA’s Open Supervised Device Protocol technology standard; the SIA RISE Happy Hour for young security professionals; and the SIA Women in Security Forum Breakfast featuring breakfast, top-tier networking and expert insights. The new details for these events – including dates, locations and featured speakers – will be announced soon; stay tuned for updates.
