  1. It’s free! RISE is free and open to SIA student members and employees of SIA members companies who are young professionals under 40 or have been in the security industry less than two years.
  2. You can find your industry mentor: RISE’s Talent, Inclusion, Mentorship and Education (TIME) program is designed to promote diversity, equity, inclusion and empowerment of underrepresented identities in the security industry by creating a well-defined pathway for learning and development. TIME connects early and mid-career professional and students with established industry professionals to further career growth and talent development. Key components of the SIA TIME program include career development, skill enhancement, recruitment and executive leadership development.
  3. You’ll access fun networking events: RISE hosts a variety of in-person and virtual networking events to help you make connections with other students and young security talent. As a RISE member, you can access offerings like lively trivia nights and happy hours, book club meetings and cocktail classes.

  5. You can access scholarships to help you reach your goals: The SIA RISE Scholarship program offers $3,000 awards to help support recipients’ learning and career development. Scholarships can be used toward continuing education, student loan repayment and professional development programs such as training and certifications.

You’ll be invited to join us at AcceleRISE: Each year, RISE hosts AcceleRISE – an essential experience for tomorrow’s security leaders featuring top-quality idea sharing, coaching, business skills development, networking and inspiration. This conference was designed for rising stars just like you and will help you make meaningful connections and maximize your leadership potential.
