Security Industry Association Opens Call for Speaking Proposals for SIA GovSummit 2024

Speaking proposals are being accepted for SIA’s public policy and government security conference taking place May 21-22, 2024, in Washington, D.C.

SILVER SPRING, Md. – The Security Industry Association (SIA) is seeking proposals from subject matter experts for the 2024 SIA GovSummit – SIA’s annual public policy and government security technology conference. SIA GovSummit will be held May 21-22 in Washington, D.C. 

“Attended each year by hundreds of public- and private-sector leaders, SIA GovSummit delivers a robust array of engaging content and expert insights on emerging policy trends, the government’s technology needs and how the changing risk environment shapes development of security products and advanced systems integration,” said SIA CEO Don Erickson. “If you or a colleague have an idea for an informative, commercial-free session that would benefit GovSummit attendees, we encourage you to submit your proposal today.”

Each year, SIA GovSummit brings together government security leaders with private industry technologists for top-quality information sharing and education on security topics affecting federal, state and local agencies. SIA is seeking dynamic session proposals on topics like:

• New laws and policies
• Regulatory compliance
• State and local policy trends
• Protecting government facilities
• Standards, codes or best practices development
• Law enforcement and first responder technology
• Emerging technologies for the government sector
