Security Industry Association Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Amanda Garzon will oversee the association’s strategic execution and day-to-day operations, helping SIA to better serve its members.

SILVER SPRING, Md.— The Security Industry Association (SIA) has welcomed Amanda Garzon to serve as chief operating officer (COO).

Amanda Garzon oversees the association’s strategic execution and day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment across internal functions and delivery of SIA’s programs and initiatives. She is an experienced executive with a background spanning the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Most recently, Garzon served as COO of the Hydrocephalus Association, where she supported organizational growth and program expansion across a national network of stakeholders, including patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers and industry partners. She also led the development of HydroAssist, a mobile app designed to help patients and caregivers manage hydrocephalus treatment.

In recognition of her leadership and contributions, the Hydrocephalus Association established the Amanda Garzon Visionary Leadership Award, which is presented annually. She was named one of the Top 20 Advocacy Professionals by the Advocacy Association in 2025, is a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Alumni Association and previously served as a Woodrow Wilson School Graduate Fellow at Princeton University.
