Security Industry Association Names Stephenie Haldane as 2026 Progress Award Honoree

HID’s Stephenie Haldane will be recognized for her vision, allyship and mentorship in advancing women while fostering diversity, inclusion, equity, innovation and leadership in the security industry at SIA Honors Night.

SILVER SPRING, Md.—The Security Industry Association (SIA) has named Stephenie Haldane as the 2026 recipient of the  SIA Progress Award, an honor presented by SIA’s Women in Security Forum (WISF) community celebrating individuals who pave the way to success for women in the security industry. Haldane will be recognized Nov. 4 during the 2026 SIA Honors Night event.

Stephenie Haldane is vice president of end user sales at HID, where she leads efforts to deepen customer engagement, grow key vertical markets and bring modern physical access solutions to end users. She brings nearly three decades of experience in sales, business development and team leadership across the security industry. Before joining HID, Haldane launched a new division for ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions focused on electronic access control for the senior living market. Her background includes physical access control, RTLS, mobile credentials, new construction and product development.

Haldane serves on the board of the Foundation for Advancing Security Talent (FAST) Board of Directors, where she leads campus outreach. She is a member of the SIA WISF SupportHER Subcommittee and mentors through SIA’s RISE community and HID’s mentorship program. Haldane has spoken at ISC West, Security LeadHER, AcceleRISE and PSA TEC and participates in industry panels and podcasts on leadership, allyship and the future security workforce. She organized male allyship sessions at HID’s offices in Austin, Texas, which included SIA CEO Don Erickson, ASIS International CEO Bill Tenney and Electronic Security Association CEO Merlin Guilbeau. Haldane is a 2026 SIA WISF Power 100 honoree.

“I am honored to receive the SIA Progress Award. Real progress takes intentional effort: opening doors for women, making room for new voices and helping students see a future for themselves in the security industry,” said Haldane. “I am grateful for the people who have supported and worked alongside me. I remain committed to helping build a stronger, more inclusive workforce for my granddaughter and all those who come behind her.”

“Building our industry’s future takes leaders who create opportunities for others. Stephenie Haldane puts that into practice through her work with SIA’s Women in Security Forum and her leadership in bringing security career opportunities to college students,” said SIA Board of Directors Chair Mike Mathes. “By engaging allies, advancing opportunities for women and helping attract the next generation of talent, she is strengthening our entire industry. We’re proud to recognize her with the 2026 SIA Progress Award.”

SIA’s Progress Award recognizes SIA members who have shown excellence in their advancement of opportunities and success for women in the security industry. Each year’s recipient is determined based on their contributions to fostering women in the industry, promotion of women’s professional growth through mentorship and/or sponsorship, recognitions and awards for related activities and demonstration of the highest levels of professionalism and integrity in the security industry.

Haldane will be recognized at SIA Honors Night, an evening of celebration, recognition and giving, taking place Nov. 4 in New York City in conjunction with ISC East. This year’s event, held at the beautiful City Winery in New York City, includes top-tier security industry networking, great entertainment, delicious food and drinks and an elegant gala recognizing exceptional members of the security industry for their leadership, commitment and service to the industry.
