About Startups in Security
The Security Industry Association is proud to present Startups in Security, a new community for security innovators. This dynamic initiative, guided by SIA’s Executive Advisory Board, is an initiative designed to identify, support and partner with innovative startups, scale-ups and industry leaders shaping the future of security technology.
Join the Startups in Security Community
To join the Startups in Security community, fill out the web form below. Startups in Security is designed for companies classified as startups or scale-ups who are seeking to propel their growth and establish industry relationships. Regular existing SIA corporate members who qualify as startups are eligible to join the Startups in Security community without needing to change their membership status.
Community Benefits
Through the Startups in Security program, startup companies who are not yet SIA members can join SIA at a special rate, which includes standard SIA membership benefits plus:
- Participation in all Startups in Security community activities
- Access to our Slack community
- Participation in the StartUps Mastermind peer-to-peer mentoring community (details to be announced at ISC West)
- Invites to the Investor Series events – featuring in-person and virtual interviews with top investors (launching at ISC West)
- Opportunity to participate in one of private strategy review sessions with a group of curated volunteer advisors
- Access to SIA research reports
- Quarterly meetings in which community members can share information, engage in peer-to-peer exchange and examine specific challenges and topics within the industry.
- Discounts on registrations to Securing New Ground (SNG), the security industry’s executive conference hosted by SIA.
Regular existing SIA corporate members who qualify as startups are eligible to join the Startups in Security community without needing to change their membership status.
Who It's For
Startups in Security is designed for companies classified as startups or scale-ups who are seeking to propel their growth and establish industry relationships. Eligible startups include:
- Companies in their early operational stages and focused on product/service development
- Innovation-oriented businesses introducing novel solutions
- Organizations targeting large or emerging markets with significant growth potential
- Companies that typically rely on external funding for growth
- Businesses managing significant market and financial uncertainties
Participation is not limited by company size, age or sector, though tech startups are predominant.

Startups in Security Volunteer Leaders
Startups in Security is led by volunteers who, like you, are passionate about embracing and fostering innovation and accelerating the next generation of security solutions. This initiative is spearheaded by SIA with guidance from the SIA Executive Advisory Board and our Startups in Security co-chairs:

In addition, SIA members volunteer on subcomittee for resources, membership and marketing within the Startups in Security community.
