SPARC Intelligence Report: Mobile Credential Solutions

At the beginning of 2024, the Security Industry Association (SIA) Security Practitioners Advancing Real Conversations (SPARC) group convened in response to concerns raised by approximately 50 participants, identifying mobile credentials as a pivotal focus area. Following ISC West, SPARC organized a series of virtual discussions spanning several weeks with key mobile credential solution providers: Brivo, HID, SwiftConnect and Wavelynx. These sessions aimed to delve into the implementation, benefits and future trajectories of mobile credential solutions. During these discussions, SPARC members engaged deeply with each solution provider to explore technical specifics, security protocols, cost considerations and compatibility challenges. This comprehensive approach led to this SIA report, offering a holistic view of the evolving landscape of mobile credentials.
