Get Involved With SIA

As a member-driven association, SIA facilitates the active participation of professionals from member companies through focused various committees and interest groups. Whether you connect your management team to a network of like-minded leading security professionals or you volunteer yourself for the greater good of the industry, our various committees and interest groups help set the direction for many of SIA activities and priorities. Take a look and then become a volunteer!

Become a Thought Leader

Ready to position yourself and your organization as an industry thought leader, as you contribute to the body of knowledge SIA, provides to the industry? SIA has a variety of opportunities for contribution, including our twice-annual SIA Technology Insights publication, the SIA blog, plus speaking potential at SIA events and webinars and via SIA Education@ISC West and East.

Participate in SIA Events

SIA events are one way to maximize your engagement with other members. At our premier events like Securing New Ground, the security industry's top executive conference, or at SIA GovSummit, which connects the security industry with government decision-makers, the networking and relationship building is unparalleled. Free events for members like the annual Market Leaders Reception and The Advance (both held during ISC West) and SIAThere! (our series of networking happy hours which span the U.S.) and monthly webinars can get your further involved.

Stay Active With Committees & Working Groups

SIA operates over two dozen committees and working groups ranging from government relations to school security, cybersecurity, video surveillance, access control interoperability and so much more. See the full guide to SIA committees and groups.
