Essentials 4 Job Security

SIA WISF “Essentials 4 Job Security” Giveback

Join the Women in Security Forum in Supporting Dress for Success Southern Nevada (DFSSN) at ISC West

The SIA Women in Security Forum (WISF) is calling upon our friends throughout the Security Industry and beyond to help women achieve financial independence. By supporting Essentials 4 Job Security Giveback, you can personally make a difference in helping the women of southern Nevada build careers and become self-sufficient.

The Situation

Decades of economic progress for women are unraveling. We are facing the first global female recession due to COVID-19, and the facts are alarming; Globally, nearly 70% of women who have experienced COVID-19-related disruptions are concerned about their ability to progress in their careers (source: Deloitte Global). 865,000 women dropped out of the U.S. workforce in September alone, a level unseen since 1988 (source: NPR), and in Nevada, the rise in unemployment over 2020 was 78 percentage points worse for women than for men.

How We Can Help

Our partnership with DFSSN will help women who are trying to get back into the workforce. Through acts of kindness and donations, WISF can help women feel more confident and self-assured as they take steps to improve their lives.

Seek NOT to fundraise or secure sponsorship AND support the heart of SIA’s WISF, a community for both women and men that offers programs, professional development opportunities and networking events with the goal of supporting the involvement of women in the security industry.
