The Advance—SIA’s Annual Membership Meeting

Join us for The Advance, the fastest 60 minutes of your day!

Objectives/Discussion Items: At this special event, you’ll review SIA official association business, meet the incoming SIA board members and participate in SIA elections, hear industry insights from incoming Board of Directors Chair Mike Mathes, recognize volunteer achievements, exchange market intelligence, get expert insights and enjoy lunch after the meeting.

Government Relations Committee Meeting

The SIA Government Relations Committee helps identify and advise SIA members regarding legislation, regulations and other policy trends or pending government actions affecting the security industry and makes high-level recommendations for related actions.

Utilities Advisory Board Meeting

SIA’s Utilities Advisory Board demonstrates thought leadership on compliance and technology topics of interest to professionals managing security at a wide spectrum of utility facilities.

Drone Security Subcommittee Meeting

The SIA Drone Security Subcommittee (originally the Counter-UAS Working Group) was created in 2023 to further educate on available counter-uncrewed aircraft system (counter-UAS) technologies and appropriate training and give authorities options to mitigate UAS attacks.

Built Environment Advisory Board Meeting

SIA’s Built Environment Advisory Board was created to foster engagement between the proptech community and the global security industry through partnerships, education and thought leadership.

Intrusion Subcommittee Meeting

SIA’s Intrusion Subcommittee maintains and promotes standards dealing with residential and commercial intrusion panels and communication between protected premises and monitoring stations. This subcommittee serves as the primary editor of CP-01 and the SIA DC family of standards.

Member Engagement and Experience Committee Meeting

Standards Committee Meeting

The SIA Standards Committee serves as the guiding body of SIA standards programs. Its members work together to develop, promote and advocate industry standards in a coordinated effort with other standards and specification writing bodies.

SIA OSDP Technical Subcommittee at ISC West 2025

Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) Technical Subcommittee

The SIA OSDP Technical Subcommittee is made up of access control manufacturers, integrators and end users implementing OSDP whose responsibilities include acting as the primary editors of the OSDP standard, coordinating and reviewing research projects related to OSDP, providing technical guidance on issues related to OSDP and more.

Perimeter Security Subcommittee Meeting

The SIA Perimeter Security Subcommittee guides SIA’s support for nationwide and international efforts to prevent hostile vehicle attacks and perimeter security threats. From crowded public spaces or critical infrastructure sites to government facilities, the subcommittee works to identify best practices, assess current threats and solutions and provide stakeholders with the latest on safety and security standards from governments and industry.

Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) School Security Town Hall

If you’re passionate about school security, join the Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) for an open meeting on K-12 school security. In addition to a brief state of school security update, we’ll share news on PASS efforts to improve school safety and security and introduce what’s new in the latest version of the PASS School Safety and Security Guidelines for K–12 Schools.

Retail Security Advisory Board Meeting
