Tell us the story of your company.
Founded in 1987, Ollivier designs and builds physical security systems for the premier companies of Southern California. Ollivier provides solutions ranging from simple access control systems to systems that support some of our customer’s most secure sites. Ollivier grew with the industry as the technology and systems changed over time. Our staff was part of many of the “first” installations in the area as the networked physical security industry matured.
Tell us where your business is located (and please tell us about your geographic footprint, especially if you have multiple locations).
We are headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and primarily serve Southern California. However, many of our larger customers request that we perform work across the US.
What solutions/services does your business offer in the security industry? And what makes your offerings/company unique?
We provide on-premises solutions from the leading vendors in the industry as well as a wide range of cloud-based solutions. We have a growing managed services area that provides some unique solutions for our customers as well.
What’s something we might not know about your company – or something new you’re doing in security?
Ollivier takes a holistic, systems-level approach to the design of security solutions. Not only do we provide solutions designed around the absolute best in breed security products, we also look at how well it will work for our customer’s security team, their employees, their customers, and other stakeholders. A great security system optimizes protection, minimizes inconvenience, and is readily adjusted to accommodate changes in your risk profile.
What is your company’s vision, and what are your goals for the security industry?
Ollivier is working to deliver holistic security solutions to our customers encompassing the full scope of security related services.
What do you think are the biggest opportunities in the security industry right now?
Customers continue to look for the “trusted advisor” that can provide sound guidance and excellent service. This was made even more apparent with all of the changes that occurred to businesses in 2020.
What does SIA offer that is most important to you/your company? And what do you most hope to get out of your membership with SIA?
SIA membership allows Ollivier to interact with the industry as a whole. There is value to the member services that are provided as well.
